I won't consider my efforts in trying to explain to civilians the experience my camp mates and I had to go through in Thailand to be very successful.
Some accuse me of exaggerating. Others can't believe that it can be that bad. But a few, including my family, can see from my face and the weight that I've lost that the experience was probably as tough as I claimed it to be.
Everyone knows that in spite of the "awesome and cool" advertisements we see on television about the army, life in there is not always as they publicise it to be.
But image is important to the army. So here are some photos of people smiling. You believe what you want to believe.
The end of the simulated war triggered the words "never again".
